Originally from Germany, Lynn established herself as a freelance artist and illustrator in London where she studied, lived and worked for 17 years before moving to Sweden in 2016. She works on design and illustration commissions parallel to her work as an artist.

Lynn’s relocation from central London to a rural area outside Stockholm became not only a change in lifestyle, but also a catalyst for new thoughts and creative ideas, firmly establishing nature as a central theme within her career. From illustrations for BBC Countryfile Magazine and books such as ‘The Botanical Bible’ to her print design ‘The Forest Muse’ for a children’s apparel label, the natural world is never far away in Lynn’s commercial work. For Lynn Hatzius the artist, nature is an endless source of inspiration which enables her to express complex thoughts and emotions through her images.

Lynn graduated with a BA (Hons) Illustration from Kingston University London and an MA in Printmaking from Brighton University. She has been a visiting lecturer in the printmaking department at Konstfack, Stockholm and on the illustration course at Middlesex University, UK.
